Objectives

  • Establishing a platform for face-to-face global youth exchange to build a network for future generations.

  • Strengthening global youth capabilities through related discussion and training activities on the theme.

  • Deriving joint cooperation measures on global issues and expanding youth participation opportunities by conveying them to the international community.

  • Creating an opportunity for South Korea to leap as a hub of global youth-related issues through successful hosting.


Background

    Increased need for face-to-face international youth exchange programs due to the easing of the COVID-19 situation.


Progress of ASEAN-KOREA Youth Summit

In 2022

Expansion of events by 9 out of 11 ASEAN countries' offline hub universities and the launch of new collaborative programs (such as Voice of Youths, We Change Academy and Homecoming Day) following the easing of COVID situation, leading to an increase in the scale of events.

In 2021

In addition to the Summit, various Linked Programs were held throughout the year. the scale of the project was expanded and consequently, it contributed to the development of relationship between ASEAN-Korea Youths.

In 2020

In the midst of the spread of the Covid-19 infection, The 1st ASEAN-Korea Youth Summit was held as the largest online international exchange event in Korea.
